from the website you will see (click on the pics!)"
Many people say "The Lord's Prayer—The New Song" makes the perfect wedding song... check it out
and give it a listen to see if those people are correct.
This is the music video to James Ranka's latest recording, "Pocket Aces." I wrote this song to be a theme
for a possible television series... I edited the video, engineered and mastered the song, "Pocket Aces."
ENJOY!

The above off/on 'switch' contains a song I composed and recorded in 1985 (1985???) entitled, "Lucky 7." Click on 'OFF' to hear the song.
A good friend, Danny Pemberton, found "Lucky 7" on a cassette tape he held on to for 25+ years and John Knippa handed the digital copy to me on June 15, 2011. I did my very best to re-master this song, but the task was daunting. We recorded this song on a Fostex 24 track analog multi-track and although the technology was great for 1985, it can't come close to what's available today.
Because I needed to remove frequencies causing tape hiss, the fidelity is compromised... but it's still MORE than listenable!
So, you are listening to some great players... Danny Pemberton (guitars), Don Rollins (sax and flute), Tony Dupuis (drums and percussion) and myself, James Ranka on keys. Also you are hearing a mastered 5th. generation recording beginning in analog and ending with digital. I feel this was one of my better compositions and I wanted to give you a chance to listen. ENJOY!
FREE! If you enjoyed "Lucky 7" despite the sub-par sonic quality, contact me, ask for "Lucky 7" and I will download the entire song to your email address at no cost.

THE MUSIC SCENE IN BEAUMONT, TX
Danny Pemberton and John Knippa—June 5, 2011
Two really great guitar pickers with a talent for truly entertaining a crowd. I shot this video early (7 PM.)
The crowd was diggin' 'em then and were streaming in and staying.
I really enjoyed this duo, and so did everyone else!
I shot this video in Hi-Def, so set your YouTube settings to Hi-Def.
